trait : a particular quality in your personality.

e.g. personality traits（人格特質）：每一個人對外在刺激的人事物，產生穩定、持久的反應方式稱之為人格特質。

quality : a thing that is part of a person's character, especially sth good.

e.g. Personal quality 人品

feature : something important, interesting, typical of a place or thing.

e.g. An interesting feature of the city is the old market.

property 正式用法 : a quality or characteristic that sth has.  

e.g. He is studying the medicinal property of wild plants. 

character : all the qualities and features that make a person, group of people, and places different from others.

characteristic ( ~ of sb/sth ) : a typical feature or quality that sb/sth has.

這兩個都是特質，也都可以當作名詞，在用法上到底要怎麼區分呢？

就字面上的意思來看, characteristic 只是 character 的一部份.

e.g. The need to communicate is a key characteristic of human society.

e.g. Generosity is part of the Chniese character.
